Role of Graffiti

Graffiti shows a clear example of what it means to want to be heard in a society , is the demonstration of a specific situation which carries an emotional character represented artistically , usually graffiti shows art forms and also disagreements with the state or with the politic system

In the case of Colombia it can be seen that graffitis represent the dissatisfaction of the people with the state and with the high level of corruption in the country. In Argentina happens most of graffitis represent artisitc illustrations that decorate the city of Buenos Aires. Similar to the case of Brazil , which is a  country that faces a big conflict with the crime but it´s illustrations shows that graffitis are made it for political mobilizations but not for complaining , for its part Honduras , Tegucigalpa particularly it happens that the population wants to end violence through graffiti since making a call to peace.

  1. I agree with you. I think this way of non-verbal communication from this four countries is a way in which artists express their disagreement about what happens in their nations. In our country there is a high level of dissatisfaction and that is why the art is so aggressive, so aesthetically displeasing to watch, unlike the street art of Argentina.
